Aging

I'm at the age where friends parents are aging and the conversations we've had lately had me thinking more about the whole aging process and life.

One friend was helping his Dad into the shower and in the process the emotions and reality of seeing this man who is nothing but skin and bones, who barely resembles the man with muscles and laughter he remembers; I really like this part, he grabbed his dad by the face and looked him in the eye and said "I love you, seriously, don't get caught up in this small stuff."

The humiliation and depression the elderly must experience--wow.  But we both agreed, bring humor into the situation - it's the best thing you can do since the reality is, we'll all age, we'll all loose muscle tone, we'll all need help eventually - at least we can continue to love and just laugh about it.
